Fivelements Retreat Bali
Balinese healing, practised at the river's own pace.
Fivelements was built as an act of devotion as much as hospitality - a riverside village of sculptural bamboo on the Ayung, where Balinese-Hindu healing traditions are practised by healers born to them rather than trained for a spa menu.
It is also where plant-based cuisine in Bali came of age. Long before the island's raw-food wave, the kitchen here was proving that a healing diet could hold its own as gastronomy. The combination - sacred arts, river, table - remains singular.

“Healing in harmony with nature, guided by the Balinese-Hindu principle of balance between people, nature and spirit. The healers lead; the resort is built around their work.”

Where you rest
Riverside suites and villas of bamboo, thatch and stone, open to the sound of the Ayung. Rooms are romantic and elemental - canopied beds, outdoor baths, no urgency anywhere.
What nourishes you
The Sakti Dining Room serves plant-based tasting menus that helped define the genre - raw and gently cooked, drawn from Balinese gardens, and plated with genuine ambition.
